Andrea Verdrugo Rohrer concluded her doctorate in 2010 under the supervision of Gert Schubring. Since then, she has worked as a professor in Chile and Brazil. Currently, she is a full professor at the Polytechnical Institute of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IPRJ/UERJ). Her research interests involve lecturing mathematics for undergraduate students, and ethnomathematics, among others.

Joerg Zender wrote his doctorate on mathematics trails and, after working in Bielefeld, Koblenz, Frankfurt, Mainz, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden, he now teaches mathematics in Frankfurt. His research interests are outdoor mathematics and assessments (formative, summative, and diagnostic), and the popularization of mathematics.
