The Oxford International Handbook of Creativity and Education brings together cutting-edge scholarship about the global trends and future directions of creativity in education. Diverse models and frameworks capture the state of the field with a focus on cognitive, social, and cultural areas of creativity in education. Barriers and supports to creativity are examined in educational policy, assessment, curriculum, classroom environments, and school contexts. This handbook is designed to propagate new research and applications in the field by helping students, researchers and program evaluators understand and apply these models of creativity to how students, teachers and leaders enact creativity in learning, teaching, and leading. Jen Katz-Buonincontro, PhD, MFA is a Professor in the School of Education. Dr. Katz-Buonincontro is the former Chair of the Faculty Steering Committee for the School of Education and former Chair of the Social Science Committee and member of the Institutional Review Board (Drexel). Todd Kettler, PhD is the Executive Director of the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at Baylor University, where he also serves as the Executive Director of the Baylor Talent Identification Program (Baylor TIP). Within the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, Dr. Kettler oversees two research labs, the Creativity and Innovation Lab and the Talent Development Lab. These labs explore the science of exceptional performance and the application of those theories to formal and informal learning spaces.
